Back on my hiking reels flow 🥾 While this might’ve been short in distance, the climb to the base of the upper falls will certainly be one I will remember for the rest of my life. My jaw was dropped the entire ascent; from the unequivocal beauty to the most insane conditions.

It was 42°F, an absolute downpour from start to finish, heavy winds, and an added challenge of jumping from rock to rock to avoid knee deep run off water along the path. This is the Iceland I’ve envisioned, and it continues to surprise and delivers on every front.
